 Hotel Accountant

Role Duties and Responsibilities

·        Preparing weekly & monthly financial reports including forecasting of cash and payroll

·        Preparation of monthly control accounts

·        Preparation of bank reconciliations

·        Posting of monthly journals to accounting software package

·        Preparing and controlling hotel payroll

·        Manage the annual budget process

·        Management of suppliers invoices, payments, supplier statement reconciliations

·        Management of expenses and capital expenditure

·        Management of Debtors, cash and receipts process

·        Complete VAT and payroll taxes, and ensure compliance with payment deadlines and statutory obligations

·        Ensure compliance with all departmental/company procedures and highlighting issues if necessary

·        Work closely with wider hotel team to ensure a functional understanding of departmental financial reporting and other metrics including wage %, GPs and P&Ls

·        The role will involve working with the Group Financial Controller in preparation of the monthly accounts and reports

·        Reporting to the General Manager and Hotel Director weekly and at monthly board meetings.

·        Managing a team of 1-2 assistants that will report to the Hotel Accountant

Candidate Profile

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role and/or Qualified / Part-Qualified Accountant
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal, organisational and numerical skills
  • The ability to work on own initiative, to manage a varied workload and work to tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Essential to work well with and communicate easily with all levels within the company

 

 

Front Office Manager

Responsibilities would include:

·        To always maximise room sales and ensure that all Front Office Staff are focused on the team’s sales objective.

·        To set monthly incentives and targets for all Front Office staff and Feedback results

·        To prepare the Rota for all front office staff, porters and night porters and to forecast weekly wages

·        To ensure the security of Cash/Float/Safety Deposits within the department

·        Cross train employees to work on both day and nights

·        Recruitment of staff for the Front Office on an ongoing basis, to maintain the talent bank.

·        To develop, motivate and carry out job chats and performance review of all Front Office staff

·        To over see and implement all staff training with the Front Office and to ensure that signed training records are kept.

·        It is a requirement of the Hotel and Company that employees avail themselves to training and communication meeting as required, for which advance warning will be given

·        To report and comments, complaints and compliments to the General Manager

·        Proactive customer relations

·        Ensure day and night teams synergise & work together as one department

·        To ensure all Celtic Ross Hotel Health & Safety policies are adhered to

·        To ensure that all tasks carried out by Front Office staff are carried out to the required level

·        To make recommendation to the Deputy General Manager with regards to any new standards/procedures within the Front Office that maybe required

·        To complete all company control documentation, banking and daily business

·        To have a complete understanding of all aspects of Night Audit operations and carry out on a intermittent basis

·        To ensure a high level of person/work cleanliness and Hygiene within the department

·        To ensure all duties are carried out in a safe manner with regards to the Health & Safety/welfare of themselves, other members of staff, guests or ant other persons on the hotel premises

·        To adhere to the Company’s code of conduct

·        To report and thefts, breakages, damage or hazards

·        To Carry out ant ither reasonable request made by the management or Hotel Guests

·        Monitor and control holidays & lieu time on a monthly basis

·        Regularly review SOP manuals

·        Management of absenteeism

·        Host monthly departmental meeting according to Celtic Ross Hotel meeting criteria

·        Responsible to correlation & internally publicising guest feedback


 

Senior Sous Chef

Requirements:

·            To have a good knowledge of classical & fine dining, modern contemporary & ethnic cuisine.

·            To work in line with the hotel’s ethos of using local produce and use the best local produce available.

·            To have a good understanding of flavours, textures, and presentation of food.

·            To support the Head Chef in achieving all targets.

 

Pastry Chef

Requirements:

·        To have a good knowledge of classical & fine dining, modern contemporary & ethnic cuisine.

·        To work in line with the hotel’s ethos of using local produce and use the best local produce available.

·        To have a good understanding of flavours, textures, and presentation of food.

·        To support the Head Chef in achieving all targets.

 

 

Accommodation Assistant

Reporting to Accommodation Manager

Requirements:

·        A team player.

·        Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.

·        Excellent attention to detail.

·        Flexibility with hours.

·        Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all areas of the hotel.

 

 

Food & Beverage Attendant Celtic Ross Hotel

Reporting to Food & Beverage Manager

Requirements:

·             Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.

·             Previous F&B experience an advantage.

·             A team player.

·             Flexibility with hours.

·             A high level of customer service is essential.

 

 

Chef of all levels

Reporting to Executive Head Chef & Head Chef

The ideal candidate must have 3 years’ experience in a busy kitchen environment and be able to work under pressure and be a team player (in a team of 10 chefs)

Requirements:

·        To have a good knowledge of classical and fine dining, modern contemporary and ethnic cuisine

·        To have a good understanding of flavours, textures and presentation of food

·        To follow strict cooking guidelines and adhere to standards of procedures in place, including food hygiene and personal hygiene

·        Be available for lunch and dinner prep and service
