Financial Controller 

This is an exciting opportunity and a senior position within the Celtic Ross Hotel. The hotel is well placed in the wonderful tourist centre of Rosscarbery in the heart of West Cork. The Celtic Ross prides itself on delivering a high level of customer service and has received many accolades over the past few years and is a nationally recognised brand.

The Celtic Ross is a culinary gem with a reputation for excellent food using over 30 local suppliers on our menus.

A multi-faceted property, the hotel has 66 bedrooms, Leisure Centre, Food Truck, Meeting rooms and is well recognised in the Wedding and Tour Operator markets. We have over 60 employees (Mix of Part and Full time) and are building for the future post Covid-19.

The successful candidate will ideally be a fully qualified although part qualified accountants with the relevant experience will be considered.

Your Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly management accounts including Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet and control accounts. Preparing weekly & monthly financial reports including forecasting of cash and payroll. Manage and complete the annual budget process.

Work closely with wider hotel team to ensure a functional understanding of departmental financial reporting and other metrics including wage %, GP’s and P&L’s.

Prepare accounts for audit and coordinate the audit process. Complete VAT and payroll taxes, and ensure compliance with payment deadlines and statutory obligations. Supervise the preparation of the financial audit and coordinate the audit process.

Ensure compliance with all departmental/company procedures and highlighting issues if necessary.

Your Profile

Minimum Requirements:

·        3 years of experience in a similar role

·        Excellent communication both written and verbal, organisational and numerical skills

·        The ability to work on own initiative, to manage a varied workload and work to tight deadlines.

·        Exceptional attention to detail

·        Essential to work well with and communicate easily with all levels within the company

Highly Desirable Requirements:

·        Payroll experience is desirable.

·        Fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA/CPA)

·        A part or fully qualified accountant and hospitality industry background, a real advantage!

Receptionist

Reporting to Front Office Manager

About the role:

The role of a receptionist is to be responsible for providing a friendly. Welcoming and efficient service to all hotel guests, in line with the hotel’s vision and values on customer satisfaction.

No previous hotel reception experience necessary as training will be provided however applicants must have the following skillsets:

·         Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, including a pleasant telephone manner

·         Ability to remain calm during difficult situations

·         Work well under pressure and in a very busy enviroiment

·         The ability to work as a part of a team and as a sole receptionist

·         Good administrative skills and the ability to use emails and booking systems, HotSoft experience preferred

·         Excellent attention to detail.

·         Flexibility with hours and available to work shift patterns

 

Restaurant Supervisor;

As part of the Food and Beverage management team, the role will involve the day to day management of the department to ensure that stock control measures adhered to, create food and beverage promotions, liaise with events etc. You will lead and motivate the team to deliver outstanding levels of service at all times.

Requirements:

·         Possess Strong Leadership qualities

·         Be responsible for training new and existing staff

·         Have an excellent knowledge of Food and Beverage and a strong eye for detail

·         Ability to maximise sales through up-selling and excellent customer service

·         Possess the ability to perform under pressure and be proficient in spoken and written English

·         Strong communication with other departments

 

Senior Sous Chef

Requirements:

      ·        To have a good knowledge of classical & fine dining, modern contemporary & ethnic cuisine.

      ·        To work in line with the hotel’s ethos of using local produce and use the best local produce available.

      ·        To have a good understanding of flavours, textures, and presentation of food.

      ·        To support the Head Chef in achieving all targets.

 

Pastry Chef

Requirements:

      ·        To have a good knowledge of classical & fine dining, modern contemporary & ethnic cuisine.

      ·        To work in line with the hotel’s ethos of using local produce and use the best local produce available.

      ·        To have a good understanding of flavours, textures, and presentation of food.

      ·        To support the Head Chef in achieving all targets.

 

 

Accommodation Assistant

Reporting to Accommodation Manager

Requirements:

      ·         A team player.

      ·         Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.

      ·         Excellent attention to detail.

      ·         Flexibility with hours.

      ·         Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all areas of the hotel.

 

 

Food & Beverage Attendant Celtic Ross Hotel

Reporting to Food & Beverage Manager

Requirements:

      ·         Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.

      ·         Previous F&B experience an advantage.

      ·         A team player.

      ·         Flexibility with hours.

      ·         A high level of customer service is essential.

 

 

Chef of all levels

Reporting to Executive Head Chef & Head Chef

The ideal candidate must have 3 years’ experience in a busy kitchen environment and be able to work under pressure and be a team player (in a team of 10 chefs)

Requirements:

      ·         To have a good knowledge of classical and fine dining, modern contemporary and ethnic cuisine

      ·         To have a good understanding of flavours, textures and presentation of food

      ·         To follow strict cooking guidelines and adhere to standards of procedures in place, including food hygiene and personal hygiene

      ·         Be available for lunch and dinner prep and service
