Local Golf Courses:
Skibbereen & West Carbery Golf Club is located 3km from Skibbereen Town. The course is an open 18-hole parkland course set against the backdrop of Lough Hyne, Ireland’s first marine nature reserve, the beautiful sailing and fishing village of Baltimore and its surrounding islands.
The Celtic Ross Hotel is pleased to offer residents a special reduced green fee rate at the Skibbereen & West Carbery Golf Club.
Bantry Bay Golf Club overlooks Bantry Bay, deep in the beautiful West Cork countryside. This is where course architects Eddie Hackett and Christy O’Connor Jnr. took 170 acres of picturesque coastal scenery, and created the jewel that is Bantry Bay Golf Club. The Golf Course has 14 holes immediately overlooking Bantry Bay where the warm waters of the Gulf Stream first touches land on this side of the Atlantic.
Clonakilty Golf Club (formerly Lisselan) is one is one of the most challenging and picturesque of Irish golf courses. A parkland course, it has nine-holes set on 80 acres surrounded by mature woodland and with the Arigideen River flowing through it. Each hole can be played twice, with two sets of tees at each hole; Lisselan is a gem among Irish golf courses for anyone who decides to come golfing in Cork.
