CELTIC ROSS HOTEL SAFE STAY PROGRAMME

Celtic Ross Hotel Safe Stay Programme

Covid Safety Update

All our staff have now completed Failte Irelands Covid-19 Safety Charter and we have worked extremely hard to set up a COVID Management Team. Staff have completed a back to work induction and have a full understanding of the guidelines that they must adhere to, to keep guests and staff safe.

With a one-way system in place, hand sanitiser throughout the hotel and plenty of space to socially distance, you are sure to feel safe and be able to relax during your Staycation at our incredible coastal haven.

The past few months have been nothing short of tough, but we have put our heart and soul into building the safest possible environment for you to return to. Following guidelines issued by the HSE, IHF, our Government and Failte Ireland, we are implementing our ”Safe Stay” Response Plan, rolling out enhanced protocols & advanced training to ensure The Celtic Ross Hotel is a safe environment for you & your loved ones.

During the lockdown period, we built our COVID-19 Response team who attended several trainings hosted by various Health & Safety bodies. Our COVID-19 Response team are continuously working on preventive measures daily and have a WhatsApp group to communicate the most up-to-date measures.

We have also re-trained all our staff prior to them returning to work with all the new Health & Safety protocols in each department.

We have summarised some of our actions below:

Reception and Communal areas:

Hand Sanitiser units have been put in place at entrances and exits of the hotel, throughout all public areas including reception, dining areas and all floors of the hotel.

Social distancing will be implemented throughout the hotel, and at the hotel reception outlines with floor markings.

We have fitted screens on counters throughout the hotel where close contact between team members and guests are a possibility.

There will be regular sanitization throughout the reception and general areas.

We have the option for an express check in/out, this will limit any queuing.

As a guest arrives to the hotel, they will enter through the main hotel entrance and will be greeted by a staff member who will assist them with the door.

A copy of government ID will be taken at the time of check in to aid contact tracing.

We will be encouraging contactless payments where possible up to €50.00 by phone and an unrestricted amount via Google Pay/Apple Pay.

We will be aiming to eliminate as many touch points as possible and encouraging guests to accept bills in the form of email where possible. We will always be on hand to help you if this is not possible.

For guests wanting to pay in cash, we will still have this facility available with proper PPE and safe measures in place.

Credit card terminals will be cleaned and disinfected between use.

On check out, we ask guests to place their used key cards into a box and they will be disinfected before use.

We have a “Do not enter my room” policy in place and guests are assured that no member of staff is to enter their room during entire length of stay.

Windows and doors will be open daily to allow fresh air to circulate throughout the public areas.

Bedrooms:

Our accommodation manager has also been very busy during lockdown.  You can rest assured top-class cleaning and full sanitization of all guest bedrooms between each guest stay with enhanced procedures and extra time allocated for cleaning per room.

We have made wallcharts of High Touch Points in bedrooms which visualise the enhanced cleaning of rooms and this has been communicated to all staff during their COVID-19 induction and training.

One team will be allocated to removing all soiled items from the room as well as sanitizing prior to another team entering the room who will only be dealing with clean items.

We will be using fogging machines to sterilize the rooms prior to check-in. Rooms will then be sealed for your reassurance.

Guest Directories, menus and brochures have been removed for guest’s safety. Our directories will be accessible digitally by scanning a QR code using your mobile phone camera and clicking the link.

Decoration pillows and bed cover sheets have been taken out of the rooms for the safety of our guests.

Tea/Coffee making facilities will be available on request basis.

Mattress and Pillow protectors will be washed to 60 Degrees Celsius in between each guest stay.

Our Linen is washed by Kings Laundry and certified to be washed above 60 degree Celsius and following all safety guidelines.

A supply of towels will be available on request which can be dropped to your door.

Dining & Beverages:

Our Food & Beverage team, like other departments have also been developing their hygiene skills with each staff member renewing their HACCP Food Hygiene Certificates as well as updated training & hygiene protocols.

Our restaurant, bar and kitchen has been rearranged to comply with social distancing in our dining and waiting areas.

To ensure the safety of our guests and staff our dining areas have been separated into residents and non-resident sections with scheduled dining times, so there is a limit on the amount of people in this space at any given time.

We have minimised the number of access points for arriving and departing guest by using separate doors for entering and exiting the premises.

We have a Food Truck, CRAFT onsite with a grab and go options available.

Where possible, we have replaced menus with QR codes.

Tables and chairs will be cleaned and sanitised between each use.

Single use condiments will be implemented in our dining areas.

Staff will be wearing face masks/shields.

We will be encouraging contactless payments where possible up to €50.00 by phone and unlimited amount via Google Pay/Apple Pay.

There will also be regular sanitization throughout all dining area and toilet facilities.

We have implemented a reservation system for breakfast & dinner times to limit the number of guests in the room at any given time, guests can book online or at the time of check in.

We have printed single use breakfast cards for ordering continental & hot breakfast. Guests can choose which options they prefer, and the order will be served to the table by a member of staff.

Drinks will be available by table service, ensuring no congregation at the bar counter and safe social distancing is adhered to.

Guests will be served individual glasses of water instead of customers sharing jugs.

Leisure Centre:

During the past few months, our Leisure Centre Manager completed “Returning to Work in the Leisure Centre, Health & Fitness Sector” Course and has added all the points to his staff return to work training.

We will be following guidelines laid out by Ireland Active, HSE & Government procedures.

Our pool will be divided into sections to adhere to social distancing.

Our shower, changing area & gym will be cleaned after every session. Half hour time slot between swim times to allow for cleaning, sanitisation, and disinfecting.

There will be a pre-reservation policy (45 minutes slots per session) allowing only pre-registered guests & residents into the pool area.

There will be separate swim times for members / hotel guests / family time.

Hotel residents will be requested to change in their rooms to allow them to go straight out on to the pool deck therefore not using the changing rooms which will be used by non-residents.  Robes can be provided to facilitate.

Our steam room and sauna are temporarily closed as a precautionary measure.

Our gym capacity will be limited to 2 guests at one time to adhere to social distancing and guests are asked to sanitize as they go.

All our procedures and protocols are in keeping with Government guidelines and those of the WHO, HSE, HSA and the Irish Hotel Federation.

Notwithstanding all of this, we want you as our guest, to be able to have a relaxed, enjoyable, and safe stay.

Our friendly team members are ready to assist with their energising West Cork Welcome.
